Been spending most of this week and last week in white overalls sweating my dick off tearing down ceilings in terraced houses in Moss Side. Last week I found three used needles behind the kitchen units. What a weird place to shoot up?

I'm psyched about the impending 28 Costumes show on April 10th. Had first practice with Paul Green in about 3 years. Felt right.

Ok so a couple of weeks between posts is ok isn't it?
My mind has been a total clusterfuck of ideas and plans and things that need to be done before I go and things I need to do once I'm there. I'm just going to have to go through things one by one which is a very rare and calm thought for me. I have several hundred pounds of bills to pay before I leave so today I paid off the electricity bill which was £158. That's loads isn't it?!?!?
We (Hallo...I Love You!) had our single launch party a couple of Sundays ago in The Leaf Cafe. Sarah Lovelock and Laura Mac and Lucy Spoons and I think some others made loads of really cute 'Under the sea' themed decorations and transformed the place into Finding Nemo in about 45 minutes. It looked so good! It was a really nice evening, actually. There was a really relaxed atmosphere and Puzzle and Graham both did really good versions of their songs - Puzzle played an acoustic set with Mounsey on guitar and Graham played on his own for most of it with an electric guitar. I think Lucy's voice has improved so much over the last few years...not that it was ever bad or anything but she just sounds so confident when she sings now and it makes a real difference.

I've been helping my step-dad out on a building site too recently which is pretty tough going. I feel like such a fop when I think that most of the lads do this all the time and I'm goosed after one day. It's only for another 3 weeks though and it should give me some money to take with me.

These are going to have to get more interesting - I feel really self concious about it though...the other blogs I've read are either interesting or funny and this is neither.

Just got back from Berlin last night and we've sorted out a totally ace flat to live in. It's really cheap and it's fully furnished. It has a balcony. And an oven in the living room. It's only for 4 months though but that's fine - gives us some time to get sorted over there etc.

bye x

First post, hey? I'm not sure what I'll do with this blog - I've never done one before. I'm also not too sure how often I'll do a blog. I like the idea of updating it daily but I always like the idea of keeping a diary updated daily too and that never happens. Never. I think I've got at least 4 diaries from recent times that start, January 1st...'I'm going to make a real effort to keep this up to date this year - you deserve it.' Or something like that. I've never actually written 'you deserve it' but it does. I bought it. It's nice. It deserves to have shit written it. After the first week the entries become more and more sporadic until they just stop completely. I've done loads of boss stuff that I'd like to put in a diary too but no, it's all gone. Forgotten. When I was a lot younger I liked the idea of becoming massively dead famous for writing tonnes of dead touching songs that gazillions of people loved and then dying and leaving behind loads of journals that people would read and cry. That's not going to happen now because a) the first bit didn't happen and b) the second bit didn't happen either. So now I'm just going to blog about stuff I do in Berlin. It might be dead exciting, who knows. You'll probably never know because I almost certainly won't update it.

Anyway, I thought it would be a good idea to do a blog now as, like I said, in 7 weeks time I'm moving to Berlin from Liverpool, where I've lived pretty much all of my life. It's kinda terrifying but equally it's absolutely exciting. I've got nothing organised yet. I haven't arranged transport for myself and my belongings, I've got nowhere to live (my girlfriend assures me that we'll have somewhere) and I don't really know what I'm going to do to earn money whilst I'm there. I have a few options though so I'm hoping that this will kinda just unfold once I'm there. Plus I'm going next week to try and sort somethings out.

Ok, there you go. I've started my blog. Next entry...June? July?

See you then.
